2 Months Old and Smiling!

My BYU Boys
Treyson is now 2 months old and he is growing super fast. Being average weight being born, Treyson has quickly caught up with his age and will soon be bigger than most. He gains almost a pound a week! He is now weighing 11 pounds 10 ounces. Daddy is proud of his little boy and is indoctrinating Treyson early to be a BYU fan. Daddy threatens that his college fund will be for BYU and BYU only....we shall see! Too bad Treyson is outgrowing his Y onesie.

All SMILES!

Treyson is now starting to smile and beginning to make what sounds like a laugh. He is so smiley in the morning! I grabbed the camera when he was smiling constantly but when I came back it wasn't as much but here are some precious photos of him smiling.

Can't be 4th of July in Vegas!

Usually Las Vegas is a melting furnace or a hot blow dryer on Fourth of July. It started out shady. I don't remember the last time it rained in Las Vegas, I know it has been longer than 2 1/2 months because I haven't seen rain since I have had Treyson. Anyways, it started to rain late morning until the afternoon. I was grateful for the rain but seriously all the days it rains on 4th of July!! Mark's parents and us were planning on going to the new park in our neighborhood KnickerBocker Park for the 4th and having a picnic, the neighborhood had planned a big event with live music and fireworks, contests etc. After seeing the rain, I was optimistic that it was going to rain only a little bit but when 3 o'clock came around and it was still drizzling, I began to doubt that the park and wet grass and rain was the best idea. By 5 o'clock the rain stopped and ended up being an AMAZING day!! It was upper 70's (I know, Vegas in July!) and it was absolutely clear and sunny!! I was floored. We got an awesome spot at the park and we had a great time. The ground was dry by then and it was just gorgeous. Treyson loved being outside! Beau entered "Moo like a cow" contest, once he got up there and realized he was the only adult, he had to let the kids win (true gentleman). I entered the Hula Hoop contest. They had so many people sign up they did it in rounds and then had the winners of each round face off in the finals. Needless to say, I was the only adult as well. I won the first round and was put into finals but then didn't make it past that. It was fun and fulfilling to me that I could still hula hoop after so many years. Good thing Treyson wasn't old enough to get embarrassed by me yet :) The great thing about this park was you could see the whole valley including the strip. We can see tons of fireworks go off everywhere. Then the neighborhood also had their own fireworks which was surprisingly AMAZING! It was really well done, and it was so close and big and bright. Treyson was staring at them for a while and then he fell asleep for the rest. Overall, it was a great holiday and I still can't believe the weather!
